Thank very much to omtay for helping me out with the species' name. I was totally stumped.


SQUELSH


[Common Elements]- Due to being natural aquatic creatures, Water is by far the most common element in Squelshies, with Acid being a close second in population. The Fire element is almost unheard of for Squelshies, but there are rumors and reported sightings of individuals preferring the Fire element over the usual Water element.

[Heredity Magic]- All, or at least most Squelshies are born with a Water related affinity, unless they were to move to a drastically different environment that would require adjustment, they will stay with this element for all their lives.

[Elemental Weaknesses/Resistances]- Squelshies have a low tolerance for cold.

[Common Locations]- Large colonies of Squelshies prefer to inhabit warm, tropical or temperate waters off the coast of beaches. Previously habitats like those were the only places a Squelsh could be seen, but in recent years there has been mass immigrations to different marine ecosystems and even to places further inland.

Constant hydration is an absolute must for a Squelsh if it decides to live on land, even if it has an Earth based element it will still be unlikely for it to survive without a water source.


[Climate Preference]- Tropical or temperate.


[Sentience]- Squelshies are 100% sentient and capable of advanced thinking and problem solving. Though their culture and traditional way of life in a colony is not refined and primitively tribal at best due to lack of influence of anything else until recent times; they can be quite intelligent and eager to learn new information outside their watery world.


[Language]- Squelshies have their own language, though it can differ slightly between each major colony, each one has their own distinct dialect. Common has been becoming popular and is now taught to the younger generations.


[Trivia]-

* Squelsh stings are highly painful. If stung, an individual needs immediate medical care, though the most common side effect starts with minor swelling, it can get increasingly worse if the stings are left untreated. Some stings can cause respiratory problems, others can cause nausea and muscle spasms. A Squelsh with an Acid affinity usually have the most dangerous venom, some accounts say it is proven fatal after only an hour of the afflicted welts.

* The more excited a Squelsh gets or the more energy it has in it's movements, the more it 'drips'. 

*They are always levitating.

Might I make a suggestion for the stings? Since they can come in many different  types, some stings may cause respiratory and heart problems perhaps? Like real jellies.
And a suggestion for weakness may be ice, since they seem to like warmer places.
